Stephan Morse
Prior to his retirement in 2008, Stephan Morse served as CEO of the EMS Corporation in Grafton for twenty-five years. He managed the Foundation and grew its four functionally related businesses. During his tenure the Grafton Village Cheese Company became a nationally known company in the artisanal cheese world. Prior to that he served eight years (1977 to 1984) in the Vermont House of Representatives, serving as Assistant Majority Leader (1979), Majority Leader (1980) and Speaker of the House (1981-1984). He has served on several corporate and non-profit boards and is currently on the State Board of Education, a Trustee of Marlboro College, and Economic Progress Council and is a District 2 Act 250 Commissioner. He is also currently Chairman of the Redistricting Committee for the Board of Education. Mr. Morse is the Senate Pro-Tem appointee and his term expires in June, 2013.
